Today I wanted to post a review of John Green's newest book The Fault in Our Stars, but I want to make sure that when I write it I do justice to the book and to my feelings about it. Reviews are one things I do not like rushing just to get them out, especially when the book I've read effects me the way this one has.

Appreciative Sarcastic Tortellini

Yesterday was MLK Day here in America and well, I really didn't do much to celebrate it other than have a relaxing day with friends. I guess the reason why I didn't spend much time thinking about MLK's words was because I always try to put them into practice. I live in a very diverse area and thinking someone is lesser just because of the color of their skin is something I find deplorable. I mean, that doesn't mean I don't like Shit White Girls Say or Shit Black Girls Say, I love stereotypes (I fit so many especially according to Stuff White People Like), but just because I like stereotypes doesn't mean that forcing someone to drink out of a different fountain is acceptable.

The Most Amazing Day of My Life (so far)

I absolutely love games - board games, card games, video games, word games, just games. I am so lucky that my best friends also love games. We've all known each other for a long while now and most of our get togethers involve some sort of game playing. We are also...kind of competitive, so keeping score is a must.

Oh hello. I have this thing where I enjoy wearing random hats I find in stores. Yeah, I'm one of those people who wear ridiculous hats in public. This time around I became a sunflower while at Hobby Lobby. I seem to dress up in stores when I'm shopping with Mrs. Kathleen. I actually ran into someone exiting an aisle and then apologized in case I freaked them out - most people seem to think I'm nuts when I wear crazy hats...

Sinuses suck hardcore. Seriously, I have had a sinus infection for a good month and a half. I am on my second round of antibiotics and they seem to be failing hardcore. This morning..and by morning I mean this afternoon..I decided to make something rather simplistic to keep my stomach calm and just to be freaking easy.

Friends Inside The TARDIS

One of the best things about winter holidays is when your friends all return from university. A good bit of my friends are still in Georgia, but there are a few that come home on breaks and just make my day. Up to now I hadn't really seen friends in a large group, but that was changed on Friday. It was ridiculous and wine filled and awesome.

Friends, Board Games, Applesauce

It's the holidays..or well technically they are over, but it's still winter holiday from college which means long lost friends have finally come home! Also, holidays usually mean presents and I got a lovely one today. I came home today to a package sitting on our front steps. To my surprise, the package was for me! What is in this box? Any guesses? Well I didn't photograph it yet, soooo sorry. Surprise answer tomorrow!

Another Snellings New Year

Every year for as long as I can remember my dad's side of the family has come down after Christmas to spend New Years wither us. My dad's side consists of my Aunt Barbara, Uncle Ken, and Rob who already live down here (about 5 miles from us) and my Aunt Joan, Uncle Ron, Mike, John, Liz, and Liz's husband Joe. Our house gets kind of crowded with 9 of staying here and 3 more coming over, but it's worth it every year! Before everyone got here I got my nails done. They were very deep maroon (looks like black) with silver sparkle tips!

A Snellings' Hanukah is a very specific type of Hanukah. It involves brisket, latkes, family, friends, and tons of inappropriate jokes. This dinner started last year and will hopefully continue forever!
