A Crafty Narwhal Book Bowl

I have returned! RETURNED! That means I have my new computer! I am so lucky to be able to receive my new laptop and hopefully I will be able to protect it like a momma bear.
This past Friday I went over to Bill's to hang out with my main gal Kelly. We decided to have a bit of a girls night with wine and crafts - so that's what we did!

When I got there we just chilled for a bit and watched David Tutera's show where he takes a woman's plans for her wedding and make them a bit...well a lot a bit better. Some of these weddings were amazzzzzing, like the Alice in Wonderland wedding. I hope one day I could have a wedding half as stylish as the wedding on the show were.

After we filled our brains with wanting for awesomely planned weddings, we started our crafting. Lately a tutorial for cutting wine bottles with yarn has been making a mad sweep through the internet. I've seen the tutorial on multiple blogs and also on Pintrest. Kelly and I had to try this one out.

Wellll, it is a bit harder than the tutorial made it out to be. I'm not sure if it was the wine bottle being a bit thicker than the ones used in the tutorial or if we just didn't wrap the yarn correctly around the bottle - either way this didn't work out as it was supposed to. Kelly got her bottle to cut, but unfortunately it then cut again below the original cut. So, Kelly only had a half fail. My bottle never cut at all. I had a full fail. Whomp. The only plus side was the tutorial involved light shit on fire.

After that we popped some champagne and had a wonderful ole time.

Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday! This is the one meal a year my dad realllly likes to plan. We woke up and went to Waffle House to start the pig out day off right. After a yummy lunch we headed off to Publix. Goodness it was super crowded - I even had to ask a man restocking shelves if they had another fridge pack of Diet Pepsi in the back (they did).

For dinner my dad made his Super Bowl chili. Along with that we had Lipton's french onion dip, chips, shrimp cocktail, and hot wings. So much food. So much goodness. SO MUCH YUM. Plus, the Giants came out victorious!! HUZZAH!

I was asked to keep a list of all the books I've read and had read this year by a loverly lady who makes loverly Fancy Narwhals. So I cannot decide how I want to keep this list. I already keep one on GoodReads.com, but perhaps I'll throw up a page dedicated to books and maybe even book reviews. I just have a hard time writing book reviews that I deem worthy of how much I like the books I read.

I'll figure it out eventually. But until then I'll be just working and stuff. See yah tomorrow!

  1. Hehe, I haven't seen the cutting-wine-bottles-with-yarn thing! Fancy!

Also, I get incredibly nostalgic when I hear 'Waffle House' and 'Publix.' I grew up in Florida, and only a couple of miles from both of those x_x

    :D YAY BOOK LISTS.
