The Secret Diary of Pintrest

Ok. So, yesterday I was sick. Like my sinus antibiotic made my Cimzia stop working well and my Crohn's symptoms broke through kind of sick. I did absolutely nothing, sooo I have not planned out what to talk about on this blog post. That means that this is going to be a "whatever hits my brain is going on this blog" post...

Good luck to you, let's jump down the rabbit hole shall we?
Well first off, today is my best friend's mom's birthday! Happy, happy birthday Momma Fugate! I hope your day is going extremely well!

Lately, I've been in a good, but odd mood. I don't want to call it a funk, because it's not, but I haven't really done a few things I've enjoyed. Normally I can read at least a book a week, but I've been reading Belle Du Jour: Diary of an Unlikely Call Girl since December 3rd (or so says goodreads). I am enjoying the book, it's not a hard read, but for some reason I just can't finish it. I think it might be because it's not a traditional story with a beginning, climax, and end - it's kind of like a memoir. I just need to hunker down and do it because I have a stack of books I've been excited to read!

I guess the next thing I should talk about is...Pintrest!

If you don't know what Pintrest is, well here's an explanation! It's a way to "pin" things you find online to one place. It's almost like bookmarks on your browser that are in pictures and easy to share with the word - social network bookmarks if you allow that.

Most of my pins related to hair styles, clothes, and random things I like. For the past few months I've been really liking any sort of hair style that has to do with braids. My favorite comes from a blog I followed written by a lovely lady named Keiko! I'd describe it as a beehive with a braided headband. The one thing I can't master is the wrapping of the braids from one side to the other.

My second favorite hairstyle I've found comes from Lauren Conrad and crew on The Beauty Department! This style can be done by most hair lengths (except for pixie cut length). I love how simplistic yet sophisticated this hair style looks!

My last Pintrest love includes books/words! I enjoy doing my nails in new and unique ways. I'd rather have something with a little pizzaz than just a plain color. These nails use newspaper and alcohol to transfer the ink from the page onto the nail. I really want to try this soon and once I do I'll be sure to post photos of it!

I just want to remind you all about the TARDIS scarves! If you'd like one please comment or email me. I'd love to spread all the Doctor Who joy I possibly can!

I hope this random brain dump was to your liking! If it was let me know and maybe on the next day I don't have anything in mind to talk about (possibly tomorrow) I will write more about things I like!

Hope you have a great day!
Jessica

  1. We NEED to talk about those scarves. Also, the nails turn out great, I posted about those in my blog a while ago (and pretty much haven't updated since). Miss you! :p
