Friends Inside The TARDIS

One of the best things about winter holidays is when your friends all return from university. A good bit of my friends are still in Georgia, but there are a few that come home on breaks and just make my day. Up to now I hadn't really seen friends in a large group, but that was changed on Friday. It was ridiculous and wine filled and awesome.

This past Friday Bill and Kelly decided to host a game night at Bill's apartment. Normally our game nights involved four to six people playing Time's Up or Bezzerwizzer, but for some reason this game night had eleven people attend. Eleven people is a difficult number to play games with so we mostly spent the night sipping wine and just catching up.

It's odd when your get togethers change from binge drinking and worrying about cops to calming drinking wine and talking in small groups. We've gone from underage parties to almost adults - I saw almost because we do still binge drink on occasion and have crazy nights (but honestly what's life without a bit of crazy?).

I had an amazing time laughing and reliving a few old memories. We also spoke about our futures and our plans for the coming months. We also took bets on how late Chris was going to be to the shindig; Chris is always late for some reason (Stephen won the bet by saying 9).

Now the other thing that happened on Friday was I finally gave a few of my friends handmade Christmas gifts. We are all very into the UK program Doctor Who and I decided to give my friends a Doctor Who themed gift. I spent about a month in total crochet all my friends a TARDIS scarf!

The scarf is a basic long royal blue scarf and I added pockets that look like the TARDIS doors! I had loved them from the beginning (in fact I made myself one), but I was worried about what my friends would think and if other Doctor Who fans would be able to figure out that it was the TARDIS. Well, my friends loved them. Chris asked about once every thirty minutes where his scarf was because he was afraid of losing it. Then on Sunday Eric told me that he wore his scarf to a rehearsal and two of his friends both noticed the scarf and said "Oh my gosh it's a TARDIS!".

Since they seem to be a hit I've decided to start selling them. So, if you see it and enjoy it and want one please leave a comment or email me and I'd absolutely love to make you one. I just want to share Doctor Who with the entire world, or maybe the entire universe!

I have a few plans this week, but since most of my friends have returned to school and work it's not going to be as super exciting as previous weeks. So, hopefully this week I can share a few other facets of my life other than my day to day goings on.

I want to talk about different things I love (including my Pintrest) and what I'm doing to start achieving my Hip List goals. I also have started working on my Snellings Biggest Loser challenge! As before I've posted my weight on here and I'm going to do it again. I'm finally ok with talking about how much I weigh because I haven't received any negativity about it. My friends have been so supportive and lovely and losing weight is something be excited about.

On January 2nd I weighed in on my home scale at 266.3lbs, this morning I weighed in at 262.8lbs. So, unless it was a fluke I've already lost 3.5lbs! Hopefully this isn't a fluke and my weight loss is going along brilliantly.

I'll see you all tomorrow with some of my loves, maybe hairstyles, maybe video games. Who knows!
