11:30 am - Wake up & pills
1:20 pm - Quiche, fruit salad, coke
2:00 pm - Dr. Bills
5:00 pm - WW Ice cream
8:00 pm - Chicken wild rice soup, 1/2 turkey sandwich, coke
2:15 am - Pills
4:00 am - Bed
Today I met my mom for lunch at Cuzi's. It's always so delicious. I found that I absolutely love quiches. They may not be super healthy, but they contain protein from eggs? The picture doesn't even give the quiche the "delicious factor" it deserves. It looks burnt and gross, but believe me it's not. The fruit salad was also super yummy. The kiwi was fantastic. I gave my mom the strawberries/blueberries/blackberries. I don't know why I don't enjoy strawberries when in a fruit salad; I love them by themselves.
After that we went to see a doctor for a wellness/weight loss program. I have to tell you it was the nuttiest thing I've ever heard.

April 25th & 26th
Yesterday I attempted to upload a post but my internet hated me. So, let's get a double scoop of Jessica's week shall we?!
April 25th:
12:00 pm - Wake up
1:00 pm - Pills
2:00 pm - Sandwich, Baked Cheetos, Plum, Water
7:00 pm - 2 tacos, coleslaw, water
9:30 pm - Thunderstorm on porch
11:50 pm - Pills
2:00 am - Bed
Today was yet another slowish day. The only exciting thing really was staying outside on the screened in porch watching a pretty active thunderstorm. There was a ton of lightning and thunder; but it wasn't an extreme thunderstorm (in Georgia terms).
I wanted a snack mid afternoon and I tried something called a Vitatop Muffin. It was banana nut flavored...and disgusting. I think it was the sweetener they used that left a horrible after taste, but I'm not really sure. I have a few more in the fridge if anybody wants one?

April 21st - April 24th
I had ALL intentions of writing on Friday about Thursday, but I didn't get home till late-ish and I was not in the mood to blog. So, you're about to get a 4 day blog post filled with photos and a video!! I know a video - I'm getting all sorts of high tech here. LET'S GO!
April 21st:
11:30 am - Wake up & Pills
1:00 pm - Avocado Delight Sandwich
3:05 pm - 15 mins weight, Your Shape (Bollywood Rehearsal Entire Class)
6:30 pm - Arby's
11:28 pm - Pills
1:30 am - Bed
My lunch came with potato salad. I didn't eat it because after nomming the entire sandwich I was super full. I guess the only other exciting thing that I can write about is the workout. The Bollywood Rehearsal class made my arms burn for the rest of the day. During it I thought my arms were going to fall right off my damn body.

12:00 pm - Wake up
1:00 pm - Pills
1:30 pm - Bologna, cheese, and tomato sandwich on deli thin, pineapple, watermelon, coke
3:15 pm - 15 mins weights, Your Shape (cardio boxing)

Today was my first time working out in a bit. I am sore - so, so, so, sore. I could barely make it through my normal cardio boxing, but somehow I still got a 91% complete...I duno. The weights I do are exercises my neighbor taught me. I do them with 3lb weights and one of those nifty resistance bands. Hurrah!

April 19th
8:00 am - Wake up & Pills
9:30 am - Dr. McMillen
11:45 am - CPK: root beer, california club sandwich, tortilla soup
3:15 pm - Plain froyo w/ fruit
7:00 pm - Pasta, coke
12:00 am - Gummy worms, taco, water
1:30 am - Pills & Bed
Today my mom and I had to shlep all the way down to St. Joseph's during the height of rush hour - let me just say I did not make this appointment because I know enough to not go from Alpharetta towards Atlanta until at least 10 am. That photos is when we went from exit 9 to exit 8 in 10 minutes...we went like 1 or 1.5 miles in 10 minutes. I don't know what the hell was wrong with people, but there were no accidents, broken down cars, or construction. I wish cars drove themselves. Luckily we made it pretty much on time for my doctor's appointment.
The doctor I saw today is an infectious disease doctor. I'm guessing that most people who go to that practice have HIV/AIDS due to the plethora of pamphlets in the little temperature/blood pressure/weight room. In fact I saw only one that even semi pertained to me and that was a pamphlet on an antibiotic named Levaquin that I take when I get sinus infections. Basically we went over why I was there (hip replacement surgery...aka the reason for this blog haha) and what I'm being tested for. They took 4 vials of blood. It took the hematologist two tries to get a vein. I then got a Garfield bandaid (see photo, yes it looks like a nub and yes I have another "boo boo" right below it). I also had a new skirt thanks to my momma. I go back on May 3rd for the results and what to do next.

I got froyo ...and I took a photo. It was plain with mango, kiwi, and strawberry - for those of you who were wondering. The other photo (to the left) is my car hitting 50,000 miles as I was about to leave to visit friends at the Base. Also, yes Kelly I know I tell lame stories in real life and now in my blog.
Last but not least: I put up my inspiration wall and it's flipping blank. I'd curse but if small children somehow get to this blog I'd feel badly. BUT GIVE ME SOMETHING INSPIRING TO PUT UP THERE OR I'LL KICK YOU IN THE SHIN.
Love always,
Jessica

April 18th
11:00 am - Wake up & pills
11:50 am - Ham & cheese omelet, hash browns, toast, water
3:00 pm - White chocolate macadamia nut cookie
5:00 pm - Pistachios, banana, water
7:15 pm - Pasta, coke
12:00 am - Pills
1:00 am - Bed
Ok. I'd say no more pasta...but I know tomorrow's post will include it (so no more pasta in real time, but not blog time. got it? good.). I need need need need need to stop being a lazy slacker. I need to exercise. I need to eat better. I need to be winning (eh? It kind of works for Charlie Sheen).
On those obvious notes...
I went to the Boy Scout store with Mrs. Kathleen today. This is the second time I've been. It's kind of far away and company is always fun when going on drives to places you won't be for very long. Plus side, super clean bathrooms. If only all bathrooms could be as clean as Boy Scout Store bathrooms...
Other than that the day was uneventful. Really. I got nothing else. BUT I can promise photos for the next post and some..news? I guess it counts as news. Is this making you curious yet? I know I would be, but considering I know what I did I'm ok with leaving this as a cliffhanger dun dun dun.......

Weekend 4/15-4/17
First weekend post: THUNDERCATS HOOOO!
I effed this up some how and skipped Thursday...so this past Thursday did not exist and I'll fix it this coming blogging week by blogging on Friday...yes.
On 4/15/2011, one Sir Patrick Dantzler returned from the mythical town of Milly and we partied. I would go into great detail, but what happens at the Base stays at the Base...at least when alcohol is involved. Though I would like to point out that in the first beer pong game I played I sunk 4 of 5 cups that my team hit before losing due to lucky shots by Chris.
4/16/2011: I did absolutely nothing. Beer obviously did not agree with me (but I'm going to blame it on the copious amounts of snack food I ate). I came home around 9:30 am after sleeping about 30 minutes. I then slept until 3:00 pm. My family decided to watch Dinner For Schmucks. It sucked (in my opinion anyway).
4/17/2011: My family was joined by the 2 adult Risslands for dim sum (which is kind of like Chinese brunch). I love dim sum. It may be my favorite meal ever. After that Karl took us to the Buford Highway Farmers Market. Oh my word. My head exploded. I have never been in a grocer that size before. I want to say it was easily 3 to 4 times larger than a kroger/publix. They described the aisle by country/region and then what is in it (they had a full aisle just for Eastern European Candy). After that it was another veg out day.
Hopefully I will be more on time with the next post and find a photo to go along!
Have a loverly week!

SO, on April 13th, 1990 one of my best friends was born. Happy Flipping Birthday Erika Schorr (even though it's the day after).
Yesterday was rather normal. I spent some time at home, spent some time next door, spent some time at the Base. Woop?
I'm not entirely sure what to write about. So, I'm not going to waste your time with any BS.
Peace out!

1:00 pm - Wake up
2:00 pm - Pills
2:30 pm - Sandwich, banana, diet pepsi
4:30 pm - Stationary Bike (5 mi./25mins)
6:30 pm - Avocado turkey burger, broccoli, fries, coke
11:30 pm - Pills
1:00 am - Bed
I realize that it seems like I drink a ton of soda and no water - let it be known I drink water throughout the day, I just prefer flavored beverages during meals.
HOKAY.
I tried a new type of exercise today: stationary recumbent bike (so nicely provided by the Risslands). It was good. I took my cd player (ipod battery is iffy, so I'm taking this old school), water bottle, and went to town. I was surprised at how "far" I rode. The biking also made me feel tired by the end of the day, which rarely happens. This is definitely going to be at least a once a week thing (as long as the Risslands still like me that is haha).
Fyi: turkey burgers with avocado own your soul.
OH! I also got material on sale and my momma is going to make me more cute skirts. Skirts are the best summer attire - they have air conditioning built it. And as those who live in GA know, a/c during the humid summer is always a plus. I'll definitely post photos when they're completed!
But for now I must bid you adieu!

Long Time
Ok, I have finally figured out how all this is going to workout. I think every day blogs are a bit much and a bit of a burn out. SO I've decided to blog Monday-Friday. Monday's writings will be for the weekend (which is Fri., Sat., Sun.) and the other days will be about the day before (as usual). Sometimes I might have an AHHH NEED TO TELL post, but yes. I think this is going to work out just fine..muhahahhaha!
Seeing as today is Tuesday (really it's Wednesday but I haven't slept yet, so it's still Tuesday in my book), I'm really just going to tell you about Monday and show a few pictures that happened over the week. HERE WE GO!
11:00 am - Wake Up
12:00 pm - Pills
1:00 pm - One taco, half order potatoes, half order cinnamon twists, pepsi
3:00 pm - Your Shape: Bollywood 1-3, Cardio Boxing Gold 1
7:00 pm - Indian Food, Diet pepsi
12:00 am - Pills and bed
Cardio Boxing Gold...kicked my butt. As did Bollywood 1-3. Each section I did was only 4ish minutes and I was in SO much pain. I don't even know. There is never this much pain when I do the entire cardio boxing silver routine. But seriously, Bollywood you winded me a bit and made my arms burn, congrats Bollywood. Plus side: both things were fun so hooray!
Those who know me know that I enjoy a lot of different cuisines, one being Indian food. Normally I enjoy what I get, but for some reason today everything just was off...I was sorely disappointed, but I guess it's better considering I ate less than I would've if it was as delicious as usual.
Now a few photos:
Catalina enjoys sleeping on top of stuff, and what better than newly laundered clothes? When Carlos realized that these clothes were clean and not dirty he decided that he too had to take a nap on them...Lastly, Kelly and I went to party city because we're such good friends...well we try to be good friends, but then give up when something costs more than we really would like to spend...it's the thought that counts though right?
BOOM, roasted.

Failure Blog
I've been failing lately on blogging, probably because my life isn't 100% interesting. I tend to eat the same things. I also think it's semi egotistical. I am writing this mostly for me, but also for the people reading. I think the lack of comment might be effecting me; not because I need comments to write this, but because I have no idea who is reading. I mean obviously my friends are and my family, but other than that I have no idea. I know people are at least visiting because blogger tracks page visits, and seeing that number makes me happy. I know site views don't equate to caring people, but sometimes it feels like it.
I'm going to get back into blogging daily no matter what in the coming week. I've also had trouble sleeping lately - so I need to do more during the day and wake up. I might start using an alarm clock again vs. my phone. I have a tendency to change my alarm time or just turn it off completely if I don't fall asleep by a certain time (which is no good).
Only exciting new thing recently is I went to Medieval Times yesterday. I've seen it a few times before, but it's always fun. My knight has never won, and last night was no different. Whomp.
Oh well. I still would like inspiring quotes/photos/etc. for my inspiration "wall". My mom got me cork wall squares so I'm going to start putting it together!
Hope all is well bloggity readers!

12:30 pm - Wake up
1:00 pm - Pills
1:30 pm - Cinnamon oatmeal, raisins, grapes, banana, 100 calorie pringles, diet pepsi
4:05 pm - Your Shape
5:05 pm - Orange, water
6:10 pm - Spicy chicken, bok choy, water, basmati rice
10:00 pm - Peanuts, water
4:00 am - Pills & Bed
Firstly, I ate a ton of fruit at breakfast/lunch. Secondly, for working out today I did the normal cardio boxing, but then I started learning the Bollywood Dance workout. The Bollywood part of my work out was only 4 minutes worth, but I was so out of breath and exhausted after those four minutes than after the 13 of cardio boxing. I'm so excited to learn the entirety of the routine. Thirdly, the boys' house had no electricity, but I had an amazing candlelight conversation with Kelly and Chris.
I'm kind of sad that nobody gave me anything for my inspiration wall thus far...So, do it, please?

April 4th
HOKAY. I am back ladies and gentlemen. So, let's get going!
1:00 pm - Wake Up & Pills
1:45 pm - Sandwich, fruit salad, water
4:10 pm - Your Shape: cardio boxing silver
5:30 pm - raisins, water
7:30 pm - pesto pasta w/ chicken, mushrooms, and spinach, diet pepsi
10:00 pm - Weight Watcher's ice cream
12:00 am - Pills & bed
I can definitely feel my left hip popping during the kicking portion of my workout. It's so odd. You'd imagine that my right leg wouldn't be able to kick as well as my left, but it's the other way around. It's really all about the support leg, and my right leg gives the worst support ever. If you need a...hip...to cry on choose my left one, never my right.
I took photos of my food today - or well lunch and dinner. I'm not sure if you guys care about the photos or not, but I'm going to add them most because I'm proud of what I made for dinner (even if it did include pasta).Ok now that is up, here's what I really would like to talk about today. Over the past week I kind of bottomed out even though learning about my surgery date was amazing. I can't really wrap my head around it, but I know that I need something..something to keep me going. That's when I thought of making an inspiration wall. This is where I need your help. Every time I read an email or comment or text that tells me how proud my friends are of me it makes me smile (and sometimes cry tears of joy). But, just getting a small ego boost isn't what I want. I'd like you to share with me what inspires you - whether it's a photo, a saying, a quote, or even an ego boosting letter.
I want to put all the things you guys show/give me up on a wall in my room; so when I'm down and feel like poop that I see it and just get re-inspired.
So please, either leave it in a comment or email or something, but give me what inspires you. Like I said, a photo, quote...or even if you want to write me an email or write me a story of something that inspires you. I want to share something I already received, but I need to ask the writer first.
I hope you guys will feel comfortable enough to do this; I can't express in words how grateful I will be.
Here's to inspiration!

March 30th
11:00 am - Wake up & pills
11:30 am - Biscuit, raisins, water
12:15 pm - Workout with Fran (recumbent bike)
2:00 pm - Popeyes
8:40 pm - Personal pan pizza, 2 medium hot wings
11:00 pm - Pills
1:00 am - Bed
Today was a pretty painful day. I'm imagining I was in so much pain because I did a new exercise and decided not to take a pain killer so I could feel how the exercise effected me. Welp, I now know I need a painkiller haha.
My neighbor Fran is sweet enough to use her fitness instructor abilities to help me out. Along with telling me I can come use their bike whenever, she also loaned me 3lbs weights, 2 dvds, and a resistance band. She showed me exercises to help with my upper body (and they'll be great to do on painful leg days). So super props to Fran (and her family because they're adorable)!
Now I need to figure out where to get velcro women's athletic shoes..or in reality which ones I want since my google search turned up more adult velcro shoes than I expected. I also need to figure out if my ipod battery is now a piece o' crap or if it just wasn't fully charged (I'm going with the former because it's old and has done this before). I really want the option to go walking, or join a gym and do ellipticals and stuff. Shoes and an ipod are necessary to either both activities.
So, if you have any insite to my ipod issues please let me know in the comments! New ipods are so expensive...
