On Friday, I babysat the Rissland twins. Normally I refuse to babysit anyone who A) isn't potty trained and B) can't tell me what they need, but the Risslands are different and so I go against my usual rules.
The twins love to share their viruses with each other. Last week Colin started to get sick and now Chance has it. By has it I mean, Chance let a loud one go..and well I had to change a diaper. Worst. Smelling. Thing. EVER. Other than that we just watch Toy Story 3 and ate Cheeze Its. Win.
So instead I'll talk about my pyjama pants and tea mug. I made my mug at Artrageous Potter with Sarah. It holds so much tea that I could probably swim in it..if I was a moth (trapped in a bath - yay Moss's moth ladder. Anyone?). My mom bought me these pyjama pants at Walgreens. If I have my surgery on the 14th I will not be able to do anything on Halloween. So my mom bought me Peanuts themed (we're big on Peanuts since my dad works for Met Life) pyjama pants that say "This is my Halloween costume".
Over the past few days I've made a few girly purchases. They include:
1. Three Revlon lipsticks (pink, brown/nude, and purply pink).
2. Marie Claire October 2011 edition
3. Cosmopolitan October 2011 edition
I can't wait to start taking these lipsticks for a spin. I normally stick to lip balms and chapsticks, but I'm going to try out this whole lipstick thingy.
The other thing I've been up to is working on some orders for Jewellery By J! I've made 3 bow hair pins and the two soft headbands are mine (these are on my tumblr). I would really love to make some of these for you all. I also make bracelets, hard headbands, and earrings. You can see everything at my business tumblr.
Now for the important decision I made this past week. I've decided that I will not take no for an answer anymore. I'm tired of being pushed around by surgeons when they don't even have the time nor the want to listen to me. Every situation and patient cannot be thrown into a white or black category. I am grey. I am so grey I make Grey's Anatomy seem bright white (or the blackest black if you prefer). So, if on the 11th my surgeon refuses to operate on me again, I will be saying a rather...snarky speech and then severing ties with him. In fact I'm so serious about this that I've already made an appointment for a consultation at another surgeon's office and I'm even thinking about typing out and editing the so called snarky speech.
Making this decision has put me in the most serene state I've been in for a while (it's not all that serene, but it is compared to the state I've been in for the past few months). The only plus side to me not having surgery on the 14th is I won't be laid up on my birthday. Then again, the hip would be the best birthday gift ever.
Well I'll leave you to visit my jewelry site and to ponder life...
Jessica
"I'm going to try out this lipstick thingy" - best. line. ever. Love it. [I love your Halloween costume too. I always wanted to be american so I could celebrate Halloween and go trick or treating but I never was and now I'm too old. Sadface.] Also, I love Doctor Who [although I NEVER get to watch it! gah!] and congratulations on an awesome decision.
