Scaling Cable Knit Mirrors and Other Books.

I exercised today. The rain may be making my joints hurt, but I exercised today. I got on my stationary recumbent bicycle, used On Demand to watch the Doctor Who episode my dad stopped from recording, and I rode. As you can see I rode slightly over 7 miles; as you cannot see I rode that far in about 50 minutes. Yeah, that was a ploy to get you to click that little "hip hip hooray there's more" link. Well, it worked didn't it? So, in the last post I told you the scale said I weighed 261.5lbs, NOW LOOK AT THIS!

Yup. That's right. It says 257.9lbs (and also there's my reflection). 257.9. I only need ten, TEN, more pounds gone and I can call to move up my surgery date from October 14th, to whenever the hell they can move me to.

Then again, I need to be weighed on the surgeon's scale. I plan on calling tomorrow and seeing if I can pop down either Thursday or Friday to weigh myself in the office. Let's all hope/pray/believe or whatever you and your religious denomination/non religious denomination do that I weigh the same on their scale, or less.

I'll get a bit of a preview tomorrow though. I'm going to my general family doctor for a check up and I'll get to see what I weigh on that office scale. I also get to see my chiropractor, which rocks since this weather is putting me into some severe pain. I now see him every two weeks, but if the rain and cold persist I might ask to be put to once a week so I can avoid the pain I'm in now.

On to the blogject. What's the blogject? Well, that means you didn't read my last post, but I guess I can explain it to you anyways...The blogject is my blog project to post at least one thing that makes me happy every time I blog. Today I really couldn't limit it to one choice, so I have two.

1. The awesome new cable knit orange scarf my mom so expertly made me! She's now working on a creme colored cable knit hat to go with the scarf. The big cable on the left of the photo is the middle of the scarf and the right side..is well the right side of the scarf. I'm quite scarf obsessed. I think she promised to make me a pocket scarf next... (Mom it's on the internet so you have to do it now).

2. The book note that came in Mirror, Mirror which I received from a bookswap on GoodReads.com. For some reason the website messed up and I cannot find the lovely Mackenzie to thank her for the book and for the note! I absolutely love receiving notes inside of books I order. This was the second one I've received. The first one was in a book by John Green I ordered on Amazon.

Last order of business! I'm reading two books at the moment, The Lonely Polygamist and The Tales of Beadle the Bard. Would you all be interested in some sort of book review of either of these two? If you would, PLEASE let me know. I'd love to throw in interesting posts for you guys since you are so nice to come back and read every time I post.

Also, you can see Bigs in the background. He's been following me around like crazy the past few days. Normally he attempts to stay near me, but in a hidden location so I can't pet him or pick him up. But lately he's been right next to me; whether it's right next to my pillow while I sleep, between my legs when I sit on a recliner, or next to my feet when I'm on my bed. It's really odd, but I enjoy the fact that he might keep me warm this fall and winter (since it's magically now in the 70's and not the 90's - cmon Atlanta, wtf?).
